OVERVIEW

The Yokohama Geolandar I/T G072 is a winter tire manufactured for SUV and light truck vehicles.

This tire offers excellent winter weather traction and it grips the road in the harshest winter weather situations thanks to the two elements combined in the tire compound. These two elements are the microscopic Resin-Coated Shelled Microbubbles and a Highly Absorbent Carbon Compound . which draws water away from the road surface and absorbs the remaining water to improve snow and ice traction. The model is also hydroplaning resistant as it eliminates water and slush from below the tire footprint. This enhances the safety of the tire during winter use.

The tire also has an enlarged road contact area. The tire features an expanded multi-flat profile which expands the road contact area to help extend the tread life and promote a quiet drive. The longer lasting tread life is achieved by the multi-flat profile's larger road contact area spreading the driving pressure equally across the tread area. The equal distribution of the forces of acceleration . cornering and braking prevents irregular wear on the tread area of the tire . allowing the tire to be used for a longer period of time.

The multi-flat profile's larger road contact surface also reduces the road noise generated while the tire's in motion. The tire's wider tread grooves channel the airwaves through the tire footprint . without letting them come into contact with the individual tread elements.
